Known as the "Mountains of the Moon," Rwenzori Mountains National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in western Uganda. BY ROAD: Approximately a 6-7 hour drive from Kampala to Kasese, the gateway town. BY AIR: Flights to Kasese airstrip from Entebbe take about 1 hour, followed by a short road transfer.
